The results are in! Jory did not win a seat, but he did achieve his goals in running for Town Council! Chiefly, those goals were:
- Be a positive, intelligent voice in Fairfax politics.
- Run a community-involved campaign.
- Get people involved who might not otherwise feel connected to the "system".
- Demonstrate that you don't have to have money, big endorsements, or negative campaigning to get loads of political attention. Simply being a rational, level-headed voice of intelligence is enough.
- Have a lot of fun, while making a difference!
Congratulations to Lew Tremaine and Larry Bragman for winning this incredibly close race. Thank you so much to everyone who helped out, as well as those who believed enough in my campaign to vote for me!
Hopefully, we have made a lasting mark on the Town and the way people will run elections in the future.
